The room was clean and comfortable and for the price, I was very impressed. The nicest hotel we stayed in on our vacation at this price point by far :)
Never one to hold back with an opinion. Please take my advice don't even attempt to stay until this hotel scrubs each and every room. This first one we were given the air in the room was heavy with mold. The second room air was masked by incense sticks.
The staff is really really nice. Super helpful. I don't know the condition of all of the rooms. But it seemed kind of run down in general. They have "pet rooms" for guests with pets...which we were. I was unimpressed with the room. It wasn't cleaned well and it was kind of smelly and run down. I have stayed in hotels that allow pets with MUCH MUCH nicer rooms. We were treated well though. It wasn't the worst hotel I've ever been at but definitely not anywhere I'd return to or want to take my family back to.
I was leaving Florida with my fiance and his mother to get away from Hurricane Irma. I called and spoke with the Owner and was told only 2 rooms for 1 night. I wanted 2 nights. So I booked for the single night, and while in route, the owner called to tell me he secured the second night if I wanted it. I got there and checked in with a very friendly receptionist. Talked with the owner, and a couple of the other workers, everyone was exceptional. The rooms were clean, and this is a pet friendly hotel. You wouldn't know it by the carpets or the room itself. This is a great place to stay. One word of caution the continental breakfast ends at 9:00am instead of the standard 10:00am. This is just off of I-95 and you wouldn't know it, you can not hear the road noise. There is an I-Hop across the street, and a Waffle House, plus 2 gas stations one on each side. This hotel is the definition of southern hospitality! Because of hurricane Irma, we had no choice but to evacuate. There were not a lot of hotels that accepted pets. We found Econo Lodge and they were nothing but helpful upon arrival. We needed to stay an extra night and without any hesitation they extended our stay. We will definitely be back.
